Storage
Tank storage is run by B.h.s. Expeditie Rijnmond B.V. in the Netherlands, and our management bills all oil companies for the storage and handling of their goods. With support for the successful discharge of products into pipelines and heavy-duty oil tankers, some of our tank farms are underground, but the majority are above ground. Before oil and petroleum products are officially transferred to end customers or further to storage facilities, we have sizable industrial amenities for their storage.
In order to draw our supplies through rails, barges, and heavy-duty oil tankers, some of our tank farms are technically connected to pipelines, while others are situated in different areas where ocean liners transporting goods can discharge their cargo. Most of our tank farms have heavy duty oil tankers operating from their grounds and these vehicles transport products to petrol stations or other users.
As a result of our modern tank farms, which include a variety of tanks, pipelines, and gantries with a higher degree of automation and substantial improvements in depot operations, the petroleum products that arrive at our tank farms are from refineries and approved for distribution to clients.
In order to prevent leaks that could harm the soil and aquatic habitat, our operators ensure the safety and handling of products, therefore our tank farm management ensures healthy and safe environments (HSE) around the site where our tank farms are located.
Our tank farms provide commercial trading strategy on every oil companies in Russia and Netherlands that lease our storage facilities for immediate dispatch to client’s chosen location and also hold large quantities of their products in our storage tanks in accordance with signed agreements to enable the products be sold on contract basis or future deliveries to prospective clients.
Tank storage facilities in Houston and the Upper Baltic Sea Region of Primorsk Commercial Sea Port are used by B.h.s. Expeditie Rijnmond B.V. Tank farm. These facilities enable the loading of multiple vessel tankers with deadweights up to 50–150 thousand tons with a capacity of up to 6,500 tons per hour in Primorsk Port and Ust Luga Port, as well as the loading of multiple vessel tankers with deadweights up to 75 thousand–to–150 thousand tons with a capacity of up to 4,500 and 6,500 tons per hour in the port of Rotterdam.
The need for energy and chemicals is increasing along with the world’s population and GDP. We observe an increasing regional disparity between energy and petrochemical production and consumption areas. As a result, petrochemicals, gas, and oil are now transported over greater distances globally.
Concurrently, markets and product flows have undergone continuous change as a result of more aggressive climate change regulations, shifting geopolitical and economic conditions, and the creation of cleaner fuels and new energy sources. As a result, there is an increasing need for bulk liquid and gas processing and storage at strategic points along international maritime commerce routes.
While continuously shifting product flows necessitate flexibility and short-term action in the day-to-day operations at the terminals, determining the optimal sites for our terminals requires a long-term vision of global geoeconomic changes. Our capacity to lead in such a changing environment rests on our proficiency in three areas.
